Celebrating over 60 years of Four-part Harmony

Welcome to the Davenport Chordbusters Chorus! We are a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society and a member of the Central States District. We are a group of men who love to sing and harmonize in the barbershop style while entertaining our audiences and putting smiles on the faces of our fans.

We cordially invite YOU to come sing with us! We are always looking for enthusiastic male voices to join us in a chord or two! Even if you know nothing about barbershop, you can sing on your very first night visiting us!

Please browse through our website and see if maybe this wonderful hobby of singing is for you!

The Chordbuster Barbershop Chorus was formed in 1952 as the Davenport, Iowa Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). We are one of over 800 chapters located throughout the United States and Canada. The total BHS membership is just below 23,000, making the Society the world's largest male singing fraternity. The Society was formed to preserve barbershop harmony as an original American musical artform. Its motto is: "Keep the Whole World Singing".

Under the able direction of Michael Callahan, the chorus and its quartets regularly entertain a wide variety of audiences. Perhaps you have heard them singing the National Anthem at local baseball games, caroling at their annual Christmas show and local nursing/retirement homes, delivering singing valentines to lovers of all ages, or in concert at their annual show in March/April called "Holiday in Harmony." They have also performed for the Governor of Iowa, President Ronald Reagan and have shared the stage with the Quad City Symphony.

The Chordbusters proudly support several charitable causes: The Harmony Foundation, the Davenport Family 'Y' programs for children, Toys for Tots, local school vocal music programs, and Quad City food pantries.
